Omaha, NE~~The Click it or Ticket campaign continues across the state in an effort to reduce traffic fatalities in Nebraska. Several law enforcement agencies are participating the in the campaign which will run through June 1st.
The number of roadway fatalities in Nebraska this year is comparable to 2013, and state officials say most of those killed were not wearing seat belts. State officials say 74 people have died in crashes so far in 2014, compared with 73 during the same period last year. Of the 67 people who were killed while inside a passenger vehicle, 49 were not wearing seat belts.
