Cargill leader joins National FFA Organization Board of Directors

INDIANAPOLIS– Ruth Kimmelshue has been named to the board of directors for the National FFA Organization.

Kimmelshue, of Wichita, Kan., has been appointed to be a U.S. Department of Education agriculture industry professional. She currently serves as president and business unit leader for Cargill Turkey and Cooked Meats.

She has worked for Cargill since 1986 with Cargill AgHorizons, Cargill Grain and Oilseed Supply Chain and Cargill Supply Chain Solutions. She led Cargill Salt as president and business unit leader from 2008 to 2013.

She was raised on an almond and bean farm in northern California. She earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations and a master’s degree in agricultural economics from Stanford University.

Kimmelshue serves on the Agriculture Future of America Board of Directors and the National Turkey Federation Executive Committee. She is a former member of the National FFA Foundation Sponsors’ Board, Salt Institute Board of Directors, Minneapolis Grain Exchange and Chicago Board of Trade.
