Nebraska’s so-called “Magnificent Seven,” the nickname for the players left standing on its injury-depleted men’s basketball squad, shocked 21st-ranked Maryland 69-61 in today’s second round of the Big Ten Tournament.
Following NU’s opening round win over Rutgers, this afternoon the Huskers became the second number 13 seed to ever win two games in the conference tourney. Nebraska’s third straight win upped its record to 18-15.
