Frank Solich was honored last night at the Outland Trophy Award Dinner in Omaha. The former Nebraska football player and coach received the Tom Osborne Legacy Award at the event, which was also attended by Osborne and Scott Frost.
It was Solich’s first appearance at a Husker-related event in Nebraska since he was fired as NU’s coach following a nine-win season in 2003. He went 58-19 after succeeding Osborne as Nebraska’s head coach.
Alabama nose tackle Quinnen Williams received the Outland Trophy.
