Huskers Get Pummeled by Michigan In Big Ten Men’s Tourney

The Nebraska men’s basketball team was thumped by Michigan 77-58 this afternoon in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament.

With the loss, the Huskers slip to 22-10.  NU will learn a week from Sunday if they’ll be playing in the NCAA or NIT tournament.

Michigan, now 26-7, will play rival Michigan State in tomorrow’s semifinals.  The top-seeded Spartans got by Wisconsin 63-60 in today’s first quarterfinal.

Tonight’s other quarterfinals pit Ohio State against Penn State and Purdue vs. the conference tourney underdog, 14th-seeded Rutgers.
