Founding Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Phil Lesh kick off their first series of concerts ever as a duo with shows tonight and tomorrow at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
The trek, dubbed the Bobby & Phil Duo Tour, also features four other shows: a March 7-8 stand at the Wang Theatre in Boston and a March 10-11 engagement at the Chicago Theatre in the Windy City.
The shows will feature Weir and Lesh playing memorable Grateful Dead tunes, plus other material, both acoustically and electrically.
While all six concerts are sold out, fans without tickets will still be able to watch live webcasts of the performances at Nugs.tv. The shows will be available to view in standard definition and high definition, and fans also will be able purchase MP3s of the performances.
After wrapping up their duo shows, Weir will launch a new U.S. tour leg with Dead & Company in late May, while Lesh has a variety of concerts lined up with his Terrapin Family Band. Visit BobbyandPhil.com, DeadandCompany.com and PhilLesh.net for more information.
