RB Washington, LB Tannor Commit to NU on Signing Day

Nebraska’s football team and new head coach Scott Frost no doubt scored some points with Husker fans on signing day.

Running back Maurice Washington announced his decision to join NU today.  Washington starred at Trinity Christian Academy in Texas and was MVP of the 2018 Under Armour High School All-America Game.

The Huskers secured another four-star recruit in Caleb Tannor, an athletic defender from Stone Mountain, Georgia.  Tannor spurned offers from several SEC schools before choosing the Huskers today.  A top defensive end in high school, he’s expected to play outside linebacker at Nebraska.

In all, NU’s February signing class includes ten new Huskers, joining 13 others who signed National Letters of Intent in December.

Nebraska’s offensive coordinator, Troy Walters and defensive backs coach Travis Fisher will discuss NU’s recruiting class tomorrow evening from 5-7 p.m. at Elks Country Club.

The event is free to the public, but you must RSVP by calling 402-472-2711, or emailing lbargen@huskers.com.
