It wasn’t so much an introductory news conference yesterday for Nebraska head football coach Scott Frost as “a celebration for the University of Nebraska and Nebraska football.” That’s how athletic director Bill Moos put it.
Frost, who quarterbacked the Huskers’ 1997 national championship team, said that he’s thrilled to be back. He said the state is hungry for unity. “We’re going to put a product on the field that this entire state can be proud of,” Frost said.
The 42-year old Frost, whose former UCF team is 12-0 heading into bowl season, agreed to a seven-year, $35 million contract with NU.
