Frost Reportedly Hired As Nebraska’s Head Football Coach

Scott Frost has reportedly been hired as Nebraska’s head football coach.

ESPN confirmed multiple reports of Frost’s hiring on Saturday.  The news was scrolled on-screen during ABC-TV’s coverage of the latter stages of Frost’s UCF team beating Memphis 62-55 in double-overtime to win the American Athletic Conference championship.

The 42-year old Frost guided the Knights to a 12-0 season.  When asked by ESPN’s Todd McShay about the Nebraska coaching job immediately after UCF’s win, an emotional Frost only said, “I want to go celebrate with my team.”

Frost is a Wood River, Nebraska native and quarterbacked the Huskers to the 1997 co-national championship in Tom Osborne’s final season as NU’s head coach.
