Husker RB Bryant To Have Knee Surgery

Nebraska running back Tre Bryant’s season is probably over.  Coach Mike Riley says Bryant, who missed the Huskers’ last five games with a knee injury, will have surgery today.

Bryant ran for 299 yards and two touchdowns, averaging almost six yards per carry, in NU’s first two games of the season before suffering the injury at Oregon.

Riley said the sophomore may be a candidate to get a season of eligibility back by petitioning for a medical redshirt.
