Huskers Edge Mississippi State In Basketball Exhibition

James Palmer Jr. led a balanced Nebraska basketball attack with 17 points as the Huskers got by Mississippi State 76-72 in an exhibition game yesterday.

Palmer hit 5-of-6 shots from the floor, including a pair of 3-pointers, in his Husker debut.

The proceeds from the game in Starkville, Mississippi went to hurricane relief.  Nebraska coach Tim Miles and Mississippi State Ben Howland announced pregame that they had each contributed $2,500.
