Riley Says Huskers Didn’t Quit In Ohio State Loss

The hiring of Bill Moos as Nebraska’s new AD came one day after the Huskers were throttled by Ohio State 56-14.  It was the Huskers’ worst home loss since a 48-0 thrashing by Oklahoma in 1949.

Afterwards, coach Mike Riley said his players didn’t quit, but just had a hard time stopping the Buckeyes.  Riley noted NU played without its top three safeties, whom he hopes are ready to rejoin NU’s lineup after the bye week.

The Huskers’ next game is Saturday, October 28th at Purdue.
