Luebbe, CHS Team Earn Fourth Place Finishes At State Golf

Columbus High’s Aspen Luebbe finished in a tie for fourth at the Class B girls state golf tournament yesterday.

The Disoverers junior fired an 8-over 80 in the second and final round at Quail Run Golf Course.  That gave Luebbe a two-day total of 20-over, 164.

CHS senior Emily Goc also earned a medal by tying for 13th.  Goc carded a plus-17, 89 yesterday for a two-day total of 41-over, 185.

In the team standings, Columbus finished fourth with a two-day total of 762.

In the Class C tourney at Lake Maloney Golf Course near North Platte, Scotus senior Maddie Neville shot a 24-over, 96 yesterday to finish at plus-52, 196.  That earned her a tie for 31st with Shamrocks sophomore MaKenzie Enderlin, who had a 27-over, 99 yesterday.

Boone Central/Newman Grove freshman Abbigail Brodersen fired a plus-20 92 to finish the event tied for 23rd.

As a team, Scotus tied for sixth at 812, while Shelby-Rising City placed 14th out of 15 teams.
