Reality TV fans know all about Ozzy Osbourne and his family, but now it’s time for them to meet Eddie Money and his clan. The pop-rock singer known for hits like “Two Tickets to Paradise” and “Baby Hold On” will star alongside his family members in a new AXS reality show.
The show, which has the tentative title Real Money, began production Thursday and is scheduled to premiere in early 2018. The 10-episode series will take a candid look at Money’s life with his longtime wife Laurie, their eight pets, and their five children: daughter Jesse and sons Zach, Dez, Julian and Joe.
Three of Eddie’s kids — singer Jesse, guitarist Dez and drummer Julian — tour with their dad. Joe is also a musician who’s focused on charting his own artistic path. Zach, Eddie’s oldest child, handles the family business.
According to AXS, the series will capture “every moment of the family’s unique dynamic as they live, laugh, bicker, and rock under one roof.”
“We may not be the typical cookie-cutter family, but we have a strong sense of love and loyalty for each other that really shines through,” says Eddie with regard to the new show. “It’s real, and it’s something I think everyone can relate to.”
“We’re excited to share our lives with America, as they join us on this wild ride,” he adds. “I’ve only got two tickets to paradise, but I’m taking everybody!”
AXS TV executive Evan Haiman notes that Real Money “[takes] fans inside the world of one of the hardest-working men in rock, and puts the spotlight on a fun and fascinating family dynamic that is as entertaining as it is heartwarming.”
