Soundtrack of Clive Davis documentary features hits from Whitney, Aretha, Billy, Bruce, Barry, Kelly, Alicia & More

An exclusive digital deluxe edition of Clive Davis – The Soundtrack of Our Lives will be released September 27 on Apple Music. The collection is the soundtrack of the acclaimed documentary on the life of Davis, the legendasry record executive who has helped steer the careers of all those stars and more.

The soundtrack also includes songs from the many of the other artists Davis worked with in his career, including Santana, Rob Thomas, Kenny G, Annie Lennox, Taylor Dayne, Carly Simon, Simon & Garfunkel, Chicago, Dionne Warwick and more.

A less comprehensive, 20-track digital version of Clive Davis – The Soundtrack of Our Lives will be available on September 29.

The documentary, directed by Chris Perkel and based on Davis’ 2013 autobiography, opened the Tribeca Film Festival in New York in April. The film will stream exclusively on Apple Music beginning October 3.

Davis became the head of Columbia Records in 1967.  After leaving Columbia, he founded Arista Records and was president from 1975 through 2000 before heading the RCA Music Group. He’s currently chief creative officer at Sony Music Entertainment. A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Davis has also received the Recording Academy’s lifetime achievement award.
