CHS Enters, Scotus Drops Out of World-Herald Prep Football Ratings

Columbus has entered the Omaha World-Herald’s prep football rankings, while Scotus has dropped out.

The Discoverers enter the Class B rankings at number 10 following a season-opening, 34-7 win at Waverly.

The Shamrocks, who entered the season at number 8 in Class C1, have fallen out of the top 10 after a 43-33 home loss to Wayne.  The Blue Devils enter the rankings at number 10.

Aquinas is still the top-ranked team in C1.  Norfolk Catholic, which visits unranked Lakeview this Friday in a game you can hear on 93.5 The Hawk, is number 2.  Boone Central/Newman Grove rose one spot to ninth after a 42-20 home win over Pierce.

In D1, Howells-Dodge’s 26-20 victory over East Butler caused a shakeup.  The Jaguars rose from seventh to number four, while the Tigers fell from number one to eighth.

Humphrey St. Francis stays at number four in D2 after the Flyers’ 54-6 drubbing of Osmond.
