Frenzen: Lakeview Football Team’s Skill Positions Are “Solid”

The Lakeview High football team made the Class C1 playoffs a year ago and head coach Kurt Frenzen says the Vikings have “a shot to make some noise this year.”

Frenzen notes that all three quarterbacks from last year’s 6-4 team return: starter Jaden Johnson, backup Cadge Janssen and number-3 QB Evan Tessendorf.  Running back Jacob Frenzen also returns after rushing for almost 700 yards last season as a sophomore.  And Frenzen says Lakeview has “really good depth” at wide receiver with Isaac Dreifurst, Jacob Sprunk and Cameron Drozd.

While the Vikings have good depth at some positions, Frenzen says overall depth on the team is a concern, so a key to success is staying healthy.

Lakeview opens its season Friday at Milford-Dorchester.
