Huskers Outslug Purdue, Next Play on Friday

Scott Schreiber homered and drove in four runs, and Nebraska outslugged Purdue 15-9 in the Big Ten Tournament last night.

Jake Hohensee pitched the first six innings, recovering from Purdue’s five-run second to get the win.

Since the start of the game was delayed an hour by rain and the contest lasted 3 hours, 27 minutes, the Iowa-Maryland game was postponed from last night until this afternoon.

The Huskers will now play the winner of that game tomorrow and will get an unexpected day off today.  First pitch of tomorrow’s Nebraska game is TBA.
