Huskers Use 10-Run Inning To Rout Bluejays

The Nebraska baseball team scored 10 runs in the second inning and cruised to a 14-6 win over Creighton last night at Haymarket Park.

The Huskers’ 14 runs and 19 hits were both season highs.  It was NU’s biggest offensive explosion since the last time the Huskers played the Bluejays: last May 17, Nebraska had 22 hits in a 15-2 rout at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha.

Now 16-10-1, the Huskers travel to Werner Park tonight for a 6:35 p.m. game with the Omaha Mavericks.  The pre-game show starts just after 6 on News Talk 900 KJSK.

The Jays open Big East play Friday night, hosting number 14 St. John’s.
