The Nebraska baseball team was hurt by two-out runs in an 8-6 loss at CSU Bakersfield last night.
The Roadrunners plated all eight of their runs with two outs in innings, including four runs with two away in the bottom of the eighth that wiped out a 6-4 Husker lead. In fact, there were two outs and the bases were empty in the eighth when the Roadrunners strung together four hits and two walks.
NU dropped to 9-1 this season when leading after seven innings. Overall, the Huskers are 9-9.
Nebraska opens a four-game series at Cal Poly on Thursday night.
