Creighton Pulls Away From Nebraska In Second Half

Maurice Watson Jr. scored a season-high 25 points and number 10 Creighton pulled away in the second half Wednesday night in a 77-62 win over Nebraska.

The Bluejays stayed unbeaten at 9-0 and have won six straight meetings with the 5-4 Huskers.  Nebraska shot just 32 percent from the floor, including 3-for-22 from 3-point range.

Creighton next plays Friday as the Jays host Longwood at 6:30 p.m.

The Huskers visit number 3 Kansas Saturday afternoon.  Tipoff is set for 2:15 p.m., with the pre-game starting at 1 o’clock on News Talk 900 KJSK.
