Titans, Bison Ousted From State Softball Tournament

Twin River and Central City both bowed out of the Class C state softball tournament Thursday in Hastings.

The Titans were edged by Auburn 4-3, suffering their second loss in as many games at the state tourney.  Twin River, which had lost its first round game to G.A.C.C 7-5, finished the season with a 28-8 record.

Central City eliminated Bishop Neumann Thursday morning by beating the Cavaliers 4-1.  But, the Bison were thumped 14-0 by top-seeded Cozad in the afternoon.  Central City had dropped its first round contest Wednesday, an 8-7 loss in eight innings against Raymond Central.  The Bison end the season 24-10.
