Riley Aims High In Second Season at Nebraska

When the Nebraska football team kicks off its 2016 season Saturday night against Fresno State, it will mark the 348th consecutive sellout at Memorial Stadium.

The Huskers have won 29 straight games against Mountain West Conference foes, including a 55-19 win at Fresno State in 2014.

Asked Monday at his weekly press conference what will determine this season’s success, second-year coach Mike Riley said, “Well, we want to win the championship, so that’s what we are starting on Saturday to do.”

Saturday night’s game between the Huskers and Bulldogs kicks off at 7 p.m. and will be televised on BTN. You can also hear it on News Talk 900 KJSK at 2 p.m. and on KLIR 101 at 6:30.
