Two Husker Baseball Players Earn Weekly Honors

A pair of Husker baseball players earned weekly awards from the Big Ten. Ben Miller was tabbed Monday as the league’s player of the week, while Matt Waldron earned co-pitcher and freshman honors.

Miller helped Nebraska take two of three games from Penn State by going 7-for-14 with two doubles, six RBI and four runs scored.  He also had two hits and two RBI in a mid-week win over UNO.

Waldron tossed a complete game shutout on Saturday in a 6-0 win over the Nittany Lions.  He allowed just four hits and posted a career-high six strikeouts.
