Local UNMC Students Receive Residency Assignments

COLUMBUS- A total of 116 senior medical students at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha received their residency assignments today during a Match Day ceremony held on campus. 37% percent of UNMC students are staying in Nebraska for their training, and 50 percent matched in primary care. The 2016 Main Residency Match was the largest on record, encompassing 42,370 registered applicants and 30,750 positions.
