Banker Praises Husker Linebackers Work in Practice

Nebraska’s defensive coordinator says he has been impressed with the play of the Huskers linebackers this spring.

Speaking to the media after Tuesday’s practice, Mark Banker sang the praises of linebackers Josh Banderas, Dedrick Young and Marcus Newby.  He pointed to their aggressiveness and also noted that defensive back Nate Gerry has been very consistent.

Nebraska returns to the practice field Thursday before taking an 11-day break from workouts for Spring Break.

Nebraska’s annual Red-White Spring Game is set for April 16th.
