The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is accepting applications for the 1890 National Scholars Program that awards scholarships to students to attend one of 19 land-grant colleges and universities and pursue a degree in the field of agriculture, food, natural resource sciences or other related disciplines.
Awardees are required to compete for appropriate employment immediately after graduation and if selected, commit to at lease one year of service to USDA for each year of financial assistance provided.
The scholars program provides full tuition, employment, employee benefits, fees, books, and room and board each year for up to four years.
The program is available to high school seniors entering their freshman year of college and rising college sophomores and juniors. Deadline to apply is April 11, 2016. Learn more or apply today (high school application/college application).
