The quarterfinals of the Goldenrod Conference boys’ basketball tournament were held Tuesday night. The two games played at Humphrey St. Francis were aired on KZ-100.
The Flyers, ranked number-one in D-2, stayed unbeaten at 14-0 by rolling to a 63-43 victory over Fullerton. The Warriors dropped to 4-11.
St. Francis will play Burwell in Friday’s semifinals at St. Paul. The Longhorns got there by edging Nebraska Christian 34-31. Burwell improved to 9-4, while the Eagles dropped to 8-5.
In the other quarterfinal games played at Cedar Rapids, Palmer lost to Heartland Lutheran 59-38 and Riverside defeated Central Valley 67-45.
