CHS Girls Win, Boys Lose as GINW Rallies in 4th Quarter

Columbus split a girls-boys doubleheader with visiting Grand Island Northwest on KLIR 101 Tuesday night.

Caitlin Edzards scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Discoverers girls to a 49-46 victory.  It snapped a three-game losing skid for Columbus, which improved to 2-3 on the season.

The Columbus boys took a 42-31 lead into the fourth quarter, but the Vikings rallied for a 52-47 win.  Dallas Oberg and Michael Koch each scored 11 points to lead the Discoverers, who dropped to 1-4 with their third straight defeat.

Columbus visits Norfolk on Friday.
