Huskers Kickoff at Illinois Moved Back a Half-Hour

Hurricane Joaquin isn’t expected to move inland as far as Illinois, but its potential effects have caused the kickoff for the Big Ten opener between the Huskers and Illini to be moved back.

Saturday’s game, which had been scheduled to kick off shortly after 2:30 p.m., will now get underway at 3:02 p.m. Central time. The Big Ten pushed it back to accommodate any potential weather-related delays in earlier games broadcast on BTN.

The pre-game show is now set to begin at 10 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK and will be joined at 2:30 p.m. on KLIR 101.

The league also moved up Michigan’s game at Maryland by eight hours to noon Eastern, due to the hurricane’s approach.
