NU’s Bullpen Falters in Season-Ending Loss

The Nebraska bullpen collapsed in the bottom of the eighth inning Thursday, as Michigan State rallied for a 9-7 win in the Big Ten tournament that ended the Huskers season.

NU led 7-3 entering the home eighth, but the Spartans scored six runs with the final four coming on Ryan Krill’s grand slam off Nebraska closer Josh Roeder.

The Huskers lost both games they played in the conference tourney to end the season at 34-23.
