Central Community College Entrepreneurship Club sponsored its first annual Shark Tank Pitch Competition Tuesday night in the west education center of the Columbus Campus. The goal of the program is to give entrepreneurs the opportunity to showcase their business ideas or product concepts to a panel of business investors.
The eleven finalist that entered could choose between three categories including High School Student/Partnership, Person/Partnership with a Business Idea or Product Concept, or Person/Partnership with a Start-up entrepreneurial Business.
In the end Yaramis Ramos Hernandez and her partner Yanet Sanchez took the top prize of a $7,700 advertising package courtesy of Digity Columbus with their graphic design company Havana Stone LLC.
Both contestants and judges left looking forward to next years event.
